But what was the idea behind the hygiene appliance? What problems occurred and how was the toilet paper invented?
Otto Wojciech invented the product and is an innovator with heart and soul. He recognizes problems in daily life and looks for – as well as finds – a solution for it.
There are some things we don’t talk about. Especially when it has something to do with our digestion. But Otto does! As a truck driver he was in various situations where he had no toilet paper.
Truckers are often on their own but Otto Wojciech knows how to help himself. One day he had no toilet paper, so he used a coffee filter instead.
But the brilliant idea came to him at a later time. His little daughter asked how many pieces of toilet paper she needs, to protect her hands. Adults usually don’t think about this question. But it is important though. The idea for an alternative toilet paper was born!
Otto Wojciech researched if there are any comparable products available yet and how the product diversity of “the big brands” looks. He deconstructed paper towels, folded them and glued them together. All of this involved a lot of detail work.
`You learn from your mistakes. This is how the product gets better and better`, says Otto. His own family tested the toilet paper. And it worked! He received a strong support from everyone.
After the development Otto Wojciech applied for a patent. And he was successful! He reached his goal: „To be a competitor to the big guys.“
The product reached a big media response: Newspapers reported about the alternative toilet paper and Otto had his first appearance on German Television (Ding des Jahres, ProSieben), which heightened the awareness about his product.
